This is our second Blast Zone! Tournaments update. If you missed our first update, check it out. BZT Update #1
On the development front, great progress has been made. We played BZT together on a single computer and had a blast! You can now use multiple gamepads on a single device and play BZT with your friends. There is more to do finish local multiplayer yet it is already super fun. Overall, the PC and Mac versions are coming along well; and as BZT also belongs on consoles, we applied to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One developer programs.
We have also started to dig into BZT’s overall game design and UI flow. We want players to easily navigate through the single player campaigns, the Coliseum, as well as local and online multiplayer. And then there is the fact that BZT has hundreds of clothing items, emotes, and additional ways to customize the hero – we are designing where and how all that content will be unlocked via play. We were also excited by the ideas that came out of this week’s tournament-related brainstorming sessions.
And given that fans have asked, we checked and verified that we have Bomb Buddies and Blast Zone user data from 2013 and 2014. This is cool because we want to come up with a way to reward our 1 million+ former Bomb Buddies and Blast Zone players that come play BZT.
The most common question that is being asked is, “When will Blast Zone! Tournaments be released?” The next step is get our Kickstarter together. It is going to take a few months to be ready for Kickstarter. A successful campaign will allow us to release BZT faster and with more features – we deeply appreciate your continued support.
